Today is the first official day of summer. Tho really it’s been summer for about two weeks for my daughter. It’s sleeping late and going to the pool time for her. And for me it’s all about squeezing in a little vacation time in around all the working. We’re about to start packing for our annual July 4th week at Atlantic Beach. We hit Morehead City, Beaufort, see the fireworks on the 4th, maybe go to the lighthouse at Cape Lookout and probably go back to the Aquarium. And I am going to try to relax a little. What ever that is. We also do spend some time down in North Myrtle Beach as well when we can. Usually that is for a long weekend- we did the 4th of July there once and it’s much too crowded during that week for us. I’ve spent time all over the beaches of NC and SC, including Nags Head, Ocean Isle, Ocracoke, and more. And we are all fortunate to have such beautiful beaches within spitting distance. We can take it for granted that the beach is only a few hours away.
